What does VSD stand for?

I always thought it was very slightly dressage?? Unless that's just a brand thing and there is a more universal term??

It's less forward cut than a GP saddle, I've just had one for my cob. It stops horses with large shoulders pushing it backwards.

Actually VSD is a German acronym so has all sorts of translations but essentially it is indeed a straight cut GP. It may or =may not have set back bars, but usually has a shorted flap than a dressage saddle. Often used as an endurance saddle it is for people who do more flatwork than jumping but don't want a dressage saddle.
