Saddle Q: "Narrow Twist"???

It determines the space you have between your legs basically. The wider the twist, the wider the space. The seat width is then dictated by how far apart your seat ones are so if you have wide seatbones a narrow saddle will be highly uncomfortable for you. Also, the deeper the seat, the closer you are to the horses back and the further apart your legs will be from each other.

I suggest you google a decent book about saddling if its something that interests you? It will help with your overall understanding of all the different saddles and their function.

Thank you. I thought I knew a little about saddles and fit, clearly this is something of a "gap" in my education! :o So the "twist" is nothing to do with the width that the saddle is to fit the horse???
