I had my saddle professionally fitted for Marley and I don't think it suits him as he has started to shy away when being saddled even though I am super sensitive when girthing etc. So if you have a low withered beefy cob what saddle do you use? He currently has a T4 thorowgood on the widest fitting.

I have a Wintec Isabell and a Thorowgood T4 GP regular not cob. My saddler reckons that the regular ones fit cobs better than the cob ones!

I have a Farrington dressage saddle, wide fitting obviously. I love it, it frees up her shoulder and we can do most things in it, hacking, schooling, dressage, jumping, Xcode, trec, etc. :)

Agree with this. Our cob has one of these, its the only saddle which doesn't slip, its soooooo comfy, not too sure about the jumping though as we dont do it.

She wears a wide in this saddle although she also has a Wintec extra wide which we keep at the stables if someone else wants to ride her :D :D

Saddle Company. They are adjustable - not on the same gullet system as many - and fit my xxxw cob really well. Bonus is if she loses/ gains weight its easy to have adjusted. And I never knew she could walk out until I put her in one - shocked me to start with, wondered where my short striding cob had gone!
