Getting fed up of my saddle and bits of kit sliding off my stubbs saddle holder in the car!! What other racks do you all use? Must be able to fit behind rear seats in the boot? Thank you.

Can you fix the stubbs one to something in the boot to stop it moving?

When I kept mine in the car I bought a bag for the saddle to go in and just stood it on its end that never moved, it did have a strap on it so you could have put it over the head rest on the back seat if need be.

I made one that hangs from the headrest, I think you could make it fit in the boot as well. I'll try and find some pictures.

Is this permanent storage? If not just put it on its pommel, carefully and at an angle the more forward cut it is, and on padding.

Go to Gibsons Saddlers and buy a square of their sharkskin non slip race pad or something similar and place it on the saddle holder. It will stop the saddle from slipping and it’s cheaper than buying a new saddle holder.

Any slightly stick foam (I use a layer of plastazote between my two stackable Classic Show Jumps stands that are similar) or caravan shelf liner would do and be a fair bit easier, but the principle may work.

@Fjord's method may be useful, and is clever, a bit like the commercial ones for hanging outside stables etc, but the flaps really can take a pounding, better for straighter cut saddles.
