hi, have a new 511 ifor Williams. not enough room to fit saddle racks. we have a tack trunk on wheels, does the job.we had a Sinclair trailor and sold for the new ifor, to be honest would have bought a new one, but they don't make them anymore. was already fitted with saddle racks and small cupboard at front. miss the storage , but happy with the ifor.
Yes I did. There was plenty of room to move the horse out but then if I wanted to I could swivel the rack outside the trailer. Haven't seen that type for sale for a long time now. I had a 510 Ifor.
How about you put your saddles over a water container or something to see how easy it is to get horses out before committing to fixing a saddle rack.
I have got one of these in the front of my IW http://www.******.co.uk/Stubbs_Fold..._find=132546&gclid=CNf5h5ech8QCFRMatAodC10Ahw I don't use it all the time but if I have all the kids in the car as well as 2 ponies it is very useful. You ideally need a saddle cover on the saddle, otherwise it gets covered in hay. You can get a pony out without folding it down but I suspect it would be more tricky to get a big horse of the far side, but not impossible.
Thanks for the replies. I put one of my saddles on a free standing saddle rack and did some trailer loading practice with the horses today, seemed to work well so think I might be going that route. Just need to find a cover to go over them now.
