Right so I’ve tried google and I’m just not getting the right answers 😅

So been using my saddle since Jan, Faran sweats like he’s galloped miles just getting excited 😅 so the saddle has gotten sweaty before.

Went to the rideout on Tues was in the saddle for three hours, foot got broken but hey ho, anyways when I untacked him I noticed my nice turquoise saddle pad has big brown marks on it. Didn’t think anything of it, now I’ve washed his things and washed his tack and when I took the pad out the machine the marks are still there and I’m rather confused 😔 also disappointed ☹️ I don’t want to over wash the pad, the sheepskin he’s been wearing hasn’t stained its just where the flaps have been pressed against the pad when the saddle has been on as normal.

Has anyone had this before on a saddle that’s been used for six months and hasn’t stained anything else before. Also if you have what removed the stains without taking out the colour of the pad?

I would be a little annoyed but some leaching of colour can happen, especially with black saddles.

Sadly, as it is likely dye, I don't think you will remove it without affecting the blue saddle cloth dye. However, it is under the saddle so won't be visible in normal use.

Yeah I Was thinking that myself, I’ve just never had a saddle bit even a brand new one do this especially a Havana ☹️

I would be a bit annoyed with that I would send the pictures to black country they are not cheap saddles and wouldn't expect that much staining.

Hmmmm I may pop them an email. I don’t want to get my saddle fitter who I bought the saddle from into bother as she’s lovely ☺️ but I’m a bit miffed as the pad design is now indented into the panels of the saddle where the dye has come off ☹️😔
