Currently having so many problems trying to find a saddle that fits my lad! So far I've tried 3 different styles of Wintec including the jump as well, none of which fit even with a load of flocking. The issue I'm having is that the pony is very flat backed and wide, has no wither but has skinny shoulders. I've found an old Antill that fits him however, my friend wants far too much for it and it's brown and I ideally wanted black tack, but if that's all there is for him then I'll have to put my fussiness behind me! I forgot to ask the saddle fitter about a thorowgood but I'm not sure about the tree shape on these and he needs something with literally a flat tree. I don't have a huge budget which doesn't help either hence why I was looking at Wintecs. So any reccomemdation on saddle brands, or feedback on the thorowgoods. He's only 13.2 so can really only take up to a 16.5 at a push. The Antill measures 8.5inches d-ring to d-ring. Any reccomemdations would be appreciated, thanks!

I'd wait for Christmas then you'll have some choice tbh at 250 there is v little on the market that is of good quality... You'll need to go for second hand and try loads of individual saddles to find one that fits... Giving a make and model is a bit moot if you can't find one 2nd hand

I agree with this. However, once you have a bigger budget, you might want to try looking at a Farrington working hunter. I had one fitted to my now retired gelding, who's a Connie x TB, but very wide. When I had my saddler out to fit my new cob mare, I was planning to part exchange it, but it actually fits her too.
