saddle swap with someone in another country?

Has anyone done this successfully? I have a prestige saddle for sale and I have a lady from Estonia offering me a cwd saddle but how do a straight swap without getting ripped off or is there no way? saddles are both worth in the region of £2500 !

I am obviously sceptical but I have sold to people there before and it could be genuine but how do I make sure or cant I ?

Scam run - unless you can do it in person I wouldn't go near it with a barge pole.

In the world of baby carriers we do swaps (we're only talking values in the hundreds) by exchanging the same amount the item is worth on PayPal as payment (not gift) so you are covered. So if she doesn't send you a saddle you have the funds for your saddle & have the right to dispute the funds you've sent.

In this case I'd ask for photos of the saddle with strange items like a fork, a watch set to a certain time etc to make sure she has the saddle. (This is something my husband and other guys in the watch world do...now we're talking watches worth both these saddles combined).

The othere thing I found with the scam is if you click doc properties on the photos it would normally tell you what site the pic was taken from.
