Boyo’s saddle has recently started sitting too high at the cantle end. Getting the saddle out, but anything that can be done to temporarily help it stop floating ?

It's not too high at the back, it's probably too low at the front. If you stabilise it from the back you'll leave it permanently out of balance. Consult your fitter who should be able to advise and get you booked in. If you use something like a front riser without guidance you could get it wrong, and lifting at the back can be from the rails being too narrow or curved in the middle of the saddle and a few other things too, and a front riser might be absolutely the wrong thing to do.

If it used to fit him and he hasn't changed shape and all that has happened is that the flock has been compressed, then temporarily, watching his reaction very carefully, you could shim the front or use a front riser.
