My 8 yr old cob , very wide, has come back from loan. I am looking to get him a VSD or working hunter saddle. People have suggested Balance, Saddle Company and Pheonix saddles might be suitable. He is very wide.
Can anyone suggest any suitable makes?
 
I have a lovely Albion, style Ultra, x wide, VSD 17.5 in dark havana.

It is in excellent condition, good enough for showing and would make a great working hunter saddle as it's straight enough to show the shoulder but enough knee roll to jump.

It cost over £1000 new.

It has been valued at around £500 by Martin Wilkinson saddlers.
 
I managed to pick up a Silhouette VSD saddle for my wide one, so they are out there, it wasn't a make I knew but is English and very good quality; I think the ball park figure for a good second hand one would be about £500 and second hand are definitely worth looking at
 
I've gor two WIntecs, a dressage and a Wide, they are both good for my cob.

My boys weight fluctuates a lot, and he goes froman XW to an XXXW in summer, so being able to change the tree is a major plus point in the Wide saddle.
