I've got a 3.5 year-old cob who's still growing (outwards mainly). She currently stands at 15hh. I was using a Wintec 500 Dressage on her with an xxw gullet but the saddle has begun lifting a lot at the back and saddle cloths were slipping out from under the saddle - the tree is completely the wrong shape for her.

Saddler has been out and I've tried 2 saddles - an Albion Legend (?) GP in wide, and a Jefferies Falcon GP in wide. Both fitted, but I found the Albion gave me horrible back pain and the Jefferies is black (rather than brown). Both are also well out of budget. I'd also rather have a dressage saddle as I find them much more comfortable. They're the only two wide saddles that the saddle fitter has as second-hand and I cannot afford new.

Can anyone recommend dressage saddles that might fit based off these two? I'm quite tempted by the Albion Legend dressage but don't know if they run slightly narrower than the GP. I only have a small budget ~£300 and will probably need to sell the saddle in 3 months as the cob gets wider, so want something that will hold its value.

What are your reasons for only wanting a dressage saddle? You may have more choice with a straighter cut gp type saddle
