Don't laugh, but does this go over the withers? Surely it would get in the way? http://www.robinsons-uk.com/products/Productdetail.asp?ProductCode=31114 want to get something for our long rides that we're doing more of and I'm thinking a cheapy that goes on the back of the saddle is better........

That's what I thought but they looked a bit small......it's ALL about the pink one! Might clash with a liver chestnut though! x

I have two sets that we used for the coast to coast when we did it - I've got navy and the other is bright pink, they are large though!

They are the standard Shires ones.

Still on the bright side you can fit everything you'll ever need in them!

Yup- food, drink, first aid kit, carrots for horsies, coat... fondue set... cuddly toy...don't forget the cuddy toy...

Oh and of course the kitchen sink!

Just to note : if you do put on large saddle bags make sure they're not rubbing directly against the horse's coat but resting on a large saddle cloth.
