Hi All,

I have a question about the purpose of a saddlecloth as opposed to using a numnah. Apart from aesthetic taste, is there any real purpose to the extra cloth, or is its main purpose, as for a numnah to keep the bottom of the saddle clean and grease free, in the case of a correctly fitted saddle?

Cheers

Personal preference I think although with a saddle cloth there is room to fit a competitors number on a numnah there isn't

Guess much of it is personal taste. I swapped to using cloths as often the numnahs were a bit on the skimpy side which could mean the edges were under the saddle and cause sore spots, cloths help avoid this.

Generally now use saddlecloths as for same suggestions above. Can't find right sizes so rub, cause sore spots etc and u can fit competitor no on. (oh and the favourite, u don't have to clean the bit covered by a saddle cloth

am trying to find a saddlecloth to fit an Albion K2 jumpimg saddle that is used with a 1/2 sheepskin . most dont have the forwardcut bit in the right place and are just too short. Doesnt help that its an 18" seat due to sons height! Has anyone got any ideas?

I'm sure Nuumed had two types of forward cut numnahs at one stage and one made a point of saying it fit a particular Albion. Though that may have been the Kontact, not the K2. You could try calling Albion and asking?
