saddler fitter scotland

Can anyone recommend a good saddle fitter in Scotland (preferably in the North East area) as I am struggling to get someone out to fit a event saddle for my mare. Much appreciated.

Don't know if Kay Hastilow is still in Fife, but she is very good.

There's a list of Scottish based Master Saddlers on that link. I used Kay Hastilow recently and she was great. Realyl helpful. Not sure how far north she travels though (and at what cost!).

There's a few there to try though. Good luck!

Aileen from Stirlingshire Saddlery covers most of Scotland so give them a ring. I've always been happy with the work that they've done for me.

I would recommend Kay Hastilow in Fife she is always very busy but I wouldn't go anywhere else.

She might be very good but she never actually fitted the new saddle I bought from her for the show season as I couldnt get an appointment with her in time. Even though I was prepared to take my horse on a round trip of over 100 miles to see her. This was caused by the mix up and delay over whether or not the saddle had arrived, which it had, although I had to go away without getting it. I used Central Saddlery at Avonbridge near Falkirk for my next new saddle, and they were excellent, and happy to check it recently, with none of the arrogance and "attitude". I cannot stand that sort of attitude in people. I felt like I was being a complete nuisance in just trying to buy the bl**dy thing.
