Saddler in Essex (also in SY)

Can anyone recommend me a saddler in Essex, other than Anthony Batchelor who won't currently take on new clients. I don't want to buy a new saddle just get my jump and dressage ones checked for fit etc.

I last had my saddles checked by Bridlepath about 18months ago and I was quite pleased with them, but I have since read conflicting comments about them. Every saddler I look for info seems to have some people that love them and some that hate - it is so confusing, I just want someone I can trust as I have a nagging doubt that my dressage saddle doesn't fit perfectly.

ive used malcolm green from west essex saddlery in clavering essex for years, he has always been great, not the cheapest but you get what you pay for, years of experience.
 
The only saddler I would ever recommend in Essex (and have used a fair few over the past 11 years!) is Roger from Ingatestone. You are nice and near there I see! He is brilliant - when he came out to try to fit a saddle to my high withered TB he couldn't find one that fitted well enough - and told me just that and didn't try to sell me anything that "almost" fitted.

He's excellent. :D
 
I've used Malcolm Green(e?) and I agree, he is very good. My friends have also used Roger from Ingatestone and will happily recommend him as well. I am in Essex (Basildon) and Martin Wilkinson who is actually in Hertfordshire will come out this far - again, he's very good. So you have plenty of choice :D.
 
I'm another who happily recommends Roger at Ingatestone.

I've bought a saddle though him and he has been great.

He will check the fit of your existing saddle. He doesn't just sell new ones.
 
Another vote for Roger - I have had about five saddles for different horses over the years and every one has been great, and all fitted with no issues after.
 
We use Roger and have been pleased with him. Can't comment on the others as do not have experience of them.
Didn't realise there were so many 'Essex Girls' (and boys) on here!
 
I need the saddler out to my mare next month, i think i know who to use now as so many of you have recomended him. Does Roger do home visits? I know there is a menage at ingatestone too were they do fitting
