saddler in glasgow?

had been emailing the saddler that is literally 5 mins away from me about struggling to get the screws out of my wintec. he said to phone him at his store to see what my options were.

that was last week. i have phoned 4 times now, and left a message and got nothing back. so stuff him.

can anyone recommend a good saddler in the glasgow area? Getting desperate now as fox is getting uncomfortable
 
also would just like to say i havent been riding with a saddle that doesnt fit, just noticed the other day when my new sharer was up trying him that he looked a bit uncomfy when being ridden, ive just been lunging him instead and he moves fine without the saddle
 
Thats a pity as he is good at changing gullets. I would just take saddle to his workshop/shop during opening hours if you live so close. I know he is kept pretty busy and isn't the easiest to get hold of tho.

i know ive heard nothing but good things for him! he was really quick at replying to my emails as well so its a bit disappointing. i just want this sorted quickly so there wont be any issues with the new sharer
 
I've heard mixed review about Donald (and about every saddle fitter tbh) but had heard he was difficult to get hold of.

Others I know of and would recommend are Laura Simpson at Amayzing saddlery and Elis Knight at The Grange in Edinburgh - both travel and would come out to you next time they are in the area.
 
I use shirley from Scottish side saddles and think she is great. She fitted my horse up for a custom made Black Country saddle and it fits perfectly. She is also very reasonably priced and she is based in Ayrshire but comes out to Renfrewshire and Glasgow :)
 
Second for Laura at Amayzing sadderly, She came out to my new boy a few weeks ago and was absolutely fab. She answers emails really fast, was out in a couple of days and spent blooming hours with us ( trying saddles to buy).

Shes such a great person to deal with, funny and very knowledgable.
