I would get all your horses booked in with your original saddler. It might be a faff but honestly would be worth booking some holiday and getting them all checked - over time they may need a bit of flocking etc. I have the most lovely saddler too that sells high end saddles but with me, she has told me what make and model would fit, I have then sourced second hand and she has then totally reflocked to the ponies. I have a black country and ideal saddle and both are so comfy.

I had a made to measure beautiful AH dressage saddle for Millie last year for just over £2k and the fitter spent hours with me ensuring that both me and the horse were happy.
Find a different fitter!

No brainer really. She sounds like a nightmare. Given a choice now I would always go for a well known brand and a decent second hand saddle in ideally the £500-1000 region. I've got burnt more than once getting a trendy or unknown brand that has been impossible to sell on.

I use one of the best and most highly qualified saddle fitters in the country, and she supplies and fits everything from Kent and Masters up to the ££££s fancy pants brands.

She fitted my mare with a Fairfax classic, which was £1595 in 2019. The saddle fit is spot on.

OP, that saddler is talking out of her @rse.

Please may I ask who you use? I need a fitter as both my horses have recently had physio and both exhibited pain in the saddle area.

I can legally name her. Nancy Walker the northern saddle company. I guess my view is good and bad saddle fitters SoMS or not. I’d go only by personal recommendations and tried and tested as a lot of people just won’t tell the truth or speak out

I guess it's not the same person as this one sells second hand saddle and less expensive brands.
