Saddleries in Exeter?

From Exeter, it would be well worth making the trip down to Redpost near Totnes. A REAL saddlery shop and well worth a visit, you'll easily spend a day in there and not know where the time went.

If you're driving down, before you get to Redpost, along the stretch of road that you'll go along to get there, there's a nice little farm shop just the other side of Newton Abbot, sorry can't remember the name, but no doubt others on here will! Think they've got a restaurant.

OR there's Leonard Coombe at Newton Abbot, dunno where exactly, but I have seen it once when I got lost driving through!

Can't think of anywhere else in Exeter, we used to have Windsors and Robertsons - many years ago. There IS Farmers Friend, down at Cowick Street, near the river, but I wouldn't say they had a huge stock of equine items - personally I'd rather trek down to Redpost, for choice.

Good luck! Enjoy.

PS (edited) - you might find you get a better response if you post on the Regional South West board, or go onto Facebook and have a mosey of equine groups there.

Just down the coast in Exmouth, there is a superb little equine shop called All For The Country, a good selection of bits and bobs. Worth a look, Sophie who runs it always very friendly. EX8 4NP for your sat nav.

Ohhh yes!!! Well worth a visit. Also Milmo's tucked away in a little side-street at Exmouth (just off Belvedere Road). www.milmos.co.uk 01395-304984 best to ring first before making the journey to check they're open. I know they're closed Wednesdays, also no-one there at school pick-up times!! Not too easy to find, tucked away in a back-street so best to ring for directions as easy to miss! Absolutely super little place with lots of second hand stuff at fab prices. Also there's "Claire's Equestrian" at Cullompton, just off the M5 junction, another little gem for second hand stuff.

Another vote for Redpost and Leonard Coombe - god they have been going for years - I remember going to them when I first started riding 25 years ago... really good and worth the visit
