I am writing a shopping list as we speak as I am in need of a bit of new clobber, having realised my hat has mold in the air vents and the velvet is brown instead of black, I think it's time..... I am really after a new hat (I'm thinking a shiney silver gatehouse HS1) and a new pair of leather long boots, both of which I realise I need to try on before I buy.
Does anyone know of any good saddleries in the Midlands/Shropshire/Staffordshire/Cheshire area that are worth a journey to that will have a good amount of stock? I'm thinking of travelling to Derby house in Derbyshire, anyone been?
Now I just need to find some money

Why not go to Badminton - lots of shopping

I visited Crewe Saddlery recently and was quite impressed with the range there, didn't look at the hats so not sure what they stock.

We had a lovely play on the saddles

Do what I do - visit a shop and try everything on and see it in the flesh then buy it cheaper on line. I don't buy things very often but I've saved over £100 in the last couple of years doing this

I love Throstles Nest but unfortunately it's in Penistone nr Barnsley, Yorkshire. Might be worth a drive cos there's a great pub nearby for lunch
