Can anyone recommend any? Struggling to find/get hold of anyone who can come out and check the fit of my new saddle.

Mill Saddlery, Stowmarket (google that it comes straight up with the number) they're great. If it's to check the fit of your current saddle I think there is a charge though. Same with Bridlepath I think.

Thanks for that, unfortch. Mill Saddlery is in Suffolk and too far away as the call out charges will be astronomical. I phoned someone in Newmarket (also Suffolk) and they wanted best part of £100

It definitely needs to be in Norfolk otherwise the call out is just silly money.

Thanks for that Ali. I have been trying to ring Mark Fisher on there as he is pretty close but can't get through. Seems a nightmare getting hold of anyone!

I'll keep trying!

I live near Derham in Norfolk and I use Mill Saddlery, Liz is fab and doesnt charge the earth to check a saddle, my last visit to check 2 saddles and a new wintec gullet was around £60.

Dont touch juddpuhs with a barge pole! as well as my own previous experience i have not had a good word said about them!

I usa Mark Fisher these days (he may well be abroad fitting at the moment) always used to use Bridlepath but after having rung and rung them for an appointment (since the shop went) and them promising to ring me back (5 months wait now!) I swapped to Mark - shame really as I've had 5 brand new saddles off them in the past

ETS : Mark is excellent though and wouldn't change now anyway!

Thanks for that. I will keep trying Mark and hopefully get through to him! He's a master saddler and not far from me at all so he'd be perfect - it's just getting him on the phone LOL.

Oops I stand corrected on that one then.

Liz from Mills is briliant and used to be the fitter at BridlePath. She has some other fitters working with her now aswell that she's trained so they should be good to.

You too! I had hoped it was just bad luck for us, the man used to fit for our yard, but does seem to be a recuring theme - a woman came out to fit my friends new saddle - didnt want to se the horse ridden in the saddle - just put it on and pressed it down WTF!

Once we moved our horses home I asked around and got put onto Mill by ILPH. If you cant get hold of Mark (who was also recomended to me by my horses osteopath) then do try Liz, dont be put of by the fact she is in Suffolk.
