Can anyone reccomend a good saddler in/around surrey that would travel to Guildford area? Have just bought a lovely little thoroughbred and need a saddle to fit him! Many thanks

Ellie Martin covers Guildford and is very nice to deal with. Cremedementhe on here is Caterham based, but may travel? Also there's Helen Dart, but I've never been successful in getting hold of her!!

Helen Dart closed Bookham saddlery, and is a full time saddler now. So should be a lot more available. I also rate David Dyer, who travels to Surrey (you need to call him between 8-9.30am to pin him down) and his time keeping is poor! But I highly rate him as a saddler.

Ellie Martin is excellent. Just bear in mind that good saddlers have loyal customers and a full list so you won't get an immediate appointment. I have been with Ellie for years and am not about to relinquish my place on her customer list!
