Saddlers question :)

Hey guys,
do you think a saddler would swap my wintec for an optimus shires and then me pay a little on top? Although they are round about the same price!

not in a million! If they dont make money they wont take it. You might be lucky for a saddler to PX a wintec at all as they are reletively cheap new. Sell it on ebay, I did and pretty much got what i paid

thought that'd be the case! How much should I sell it for?
I'm worried I'll be without a saddle that's the problem!
Do you know if the optimus shires is a good saddle for a thoroughbred?

I'd put it on ebay too - just start it at 99p, and put a reserve on it so it doesn't wind up going for pennies! Make sure the pics are good and you should get something reasnoble back for it. Have just done the same with a couple of old saddles I'd been hanging onto (but come no-where near fitting!) and was pleasantly suprised at what they fetched! V few saddlers would part ex it as there just isn't the profit in it for them, and lots of people are going to ebay for second hand saddles rather than getting them from saddlers - they just can't compete on price with that.

Tbs vary so much in shape that it would be pretty much impossible to tell if a saddle would fit tbh. Best bet is to find a saddler that stocks it if you have your heart set on that particular saddle and they will be able to let you know.
