Saddlery in Bridgwater, Somerset refusing to give me my refund!

I am having huge problems at the moment, I bought a bridle from olympia it was a £110 jeffries bridle so not cheap. I tried it on pickle and it didn't fit so send it back to get a bigger size after phoning them.

I then waited 1 month 1/2 then phoned and they said jeffries had sent them the wrong stock and it would be with me soon. Another 10 days passed with no avail phoned again and was told I would get a refund. Its been 2 months since they offered the refund! Both me and my dad have tried to phone them, they keep saying its coming and most phone calls now end with them hanging up on us shouting you'll get your bloody money!

No idea what to do now! if anyone is local I can PM a name, don't want to post on here though
 
Write them a letter giving them 7 days to refund the money or you will be going to the small claims court.

I did it on my debit card, do the same rules apply

Depends on the type of account etc so it may be worth checking with your bank what protection you have got but I think you are more likely to be covered if you had used a CC

Worth a go anyway, and if that doesn't work definitely talk to the CAB and send a letter recorded delivery demanding full refund or small claims court.

speak to citzens advise, they will give a standard letter to send to them which will help and they will know you have take legal advise unfortuantely if you paid on debit card you can not get your money back as it leaves your bank account. Dont let it go e-mail them if they send you rude e-ms keep them. Get on to citezens advise go get them!!
 
i didn't realise there was a tack shop in bridgwater and I have worked there over a year!!!!! Actually I lie I know of two but neither would be at Olympia as one is feed merchant with smallest tack range ever (no leather!) and the other is countrywide!!!!

I would suggest small claims court as well, I would write letter which you should send recorded delivery saying if you receive no refund within the next 7 working days (give expiry date) you will have no choice but to file an action with the small claims court.

CAB will be able to give you some good info. Also threaten trading standards as that normally gets backs up as well

There is one in Highbridge that only does shows but pretty sure they don't sell Jeffries stuff! MVF and Countrywide are as good as it gets!
