Saddlery needle/pokey thing?!

Sorry for the title, and please help finish an argument for me! Does anyone know what the long 'pokey things' that saddlers use for flocking saddles are called?! And do they count as needles or not?
Does that even make sense? I can try to find a picture if that would help....

They're called flocking irons

Thats them, thank you so much! I felt like a crazy person trying to explain what they were, but couldn't find anything on google search with the (slightly random) combination of words that I tried....
