Just wondering, do you prefer going into saddlerys or online purchasing?

What's more important, price, quality, availability or other (please advise).

I usually find that saddlerys are too far away and too expensive and not enough choice.

If I know exactly what I'm buying I much prefer to get it online. Prefer to go to a shop though if I'm looking for boots/hat/rugs etc as it's so much easier to see if they're suitable.

I used to live near a proper saddlery that made its own tack and I could spend hours in there browsing - I love the smell of leather!

However, those types of saddlery are not so common now so I do most of my browsing online - would prefer to have a good shop near me though.

I am on a budget but I still would rather spend a bit more and get good quality/tack that lasts. Especially saddlery - good stuff lasts years if it is well cared-for and it is easier to sell on if you no longer need it.

i like to see the item before purchasing really so saddlerys are better for that

however they are getting so expensive, my local tack shop for clothes are stupidly expensive. There rugs are usual retail price but they do have the good bargin around every now and then
it depends what im after and to wherether my tack shop does it for a reasonable price.
whilst i know i should support my local tack shop as its just down the road, newly opened and the only one within a 20-30 min drive. I will browse online first to check prices.

its also much easier to return items back to a shop

Easier onlione.. however, nothing beats going into a huge tack shop and looking and touching and oo-ing and -aahing!
And the smell of leather and chaff and *stuff!*

I order my rugs online now (unless there's a good sale on) because they're generally cheaper. I like going to the tackshop for a look around, but tend to leave with more than I went in for! It does annoy me if I buy something in the shop, and then find it cheaper online!
