DON'T TOUCH THEM WITH A BARGE POLE, LOADS OF WARNING ABOUT THEM ON HERE (ESPECIALLY IF YOU WIN AN AUCTION CHEAP!! - I GARENTEE THE ITEM WILL GET LOST IN THE POST).
Will never use them ever again. They know every trick in the book and I was so fed up as had to roll over and capitulate which is not like me at all just so I did not lose my 100% feedback.
They leave a negative for anyone who dares complain and then when they are left a negative they contact the buyer to get them to mutually remove feedback. I took the negative they unjustly gave me, so they got left with the negative they richly deserved. If only buyers would stand up and be counted, instead of zealously guarding their 100% feedback, then Saddlery4U would not get away with it. Mind you if ebay grew some balls and started protecting the buyer, then they wouldn't get away with it either.
I bid for a bridle which disappeared the day before the auction ended. I assume it was because the price was so low!
They DO NOT have a good rep. I don't think I'll EVER buy from them based on the experience of very many HHOers!
I would never attempt to buy from them again! I sent not one but two cheques and they claimed neither arrived, emailing me rather sarcastically and purporting that I'd never sent them in the first place! Next thing was the official email requesting payment (is that a "strike"???) and I found myself having to explain to ebay how I'd paid TWICE but neither cheques apparently reached its destination! I shall never know what happened there, but I avoid them like to plague! Nice to know others have had problems too!
Beware, they leave negative feedback for the slightest critism. They do not accept Paypal & regularly claim a buyer is an unpaid bidder when they have clearly received payment.
They also have people to shill bid their items up. Take a look at this bidder Outback.princess (link below) who only has 4 feedback but has several pages of 'purchases' from Saddlery4U & an Australian seller Ridelo11060.
Hi having the same problem at the moment brought a bridle sent two cheques, and both gone missing ???Now trying to contact by phone, but just get answer machine .Help !
I won an auction from them at a really good price and I paid through their "secure" website. When I questioned where the bridle was they just claimed I had not paid, even though I had the printed receipt from their website, and opened a non paying bidder dispute, they answered my non recieved item dispute with "." because if they don't reply they lose the ability to leave feedback and as far as Ebay is concerned "." is a reply!!! I complained to trading standards who have probably done nothing and Ebay and eventually (today actually) got a refund through ebay's protection scheme, well I paid £27 I got back £4!!!! DON'T DO IT, IT'S NOT WORTH IT!!!!!!!!!!!
iv brought 3 things off them in the past year, and i have had no problems at all!
it comes really fast and exactly what i want.
if anyone had asked what ebay shops there are that are good for horsey things, i would have said saddlery4u! lol
I was interested in a bridle, but I was wondering how it could be a "German Leather quality, etc. etc." for the price. Most good makes have a minimum starting price. I was put off because they don't accept PayPal, and after reading that "the cheques don't arrive" I saw how it is done.
