I am currently looking for a saddle for a cob with no withers. Is there any saddle's you could recommend.dont mind leather or synthetic.

I currently have a thorowgood t6 on mine. It's the cob fit although my horse isnt very cobby lol! I find it very comfy, and was previously a leather snob - you can hardly tell the difference

The fusion saddles look great. I am currently using an old rhinegold saddle that has been lent to me that is synthetic which is okay but would like to get her a better saddle.but one that'l adjust with her changing shape.the current saddle i have is a wide fit but she is going to get much wider lol!

The Wintec Wide is a new-ish model and fits my hairy gypsy cob who has added a new meaning to the word "wide". It is about the £350 mark brand new and comes with 4 interchangeable gullets in case the horse changes shape. Very comfortable for horse and rider and looks good too.

One of my friends has a cob and she has Black Country Saddles for him- they are beautiful saddles and fit wide cobs perfectly, very comfortable too and they will make to your requirements.

It really depends on whether your horse changes shape a lot. If not, then I would look at the Ideal H&C model, or a native pony company saddle.

If you need something adjustable, I would look at the Thorowgood cob over the wintec cob which still doesnt suit cobs in my opinion.

You could also look at saddle company saddles (which I fit) and there is a particular cob tree that would be more suitable, although if your horse is very wide then the tree will be too narrow. You could also have a look at Kieffers which are adjustable as well, but it all really depends on how wide and flat your horse's back is.

I have a Thorowgood T4 for my extremely wide highland. The wintec tree did not fit his shape at all. He will change a lot over the next couple of years so I figured it was better to have an adjustable saddle for now.

Treeless for me I'm afraid.

Nothing on the market accommodated his shoulders and I didn't want to have one made.

I use a Fhoenix because it looks most like a treed saddle.
