I have a 15.3hh Coloured Cob and I am experiencing the problems that many of us cob owners have of getting a saddle to fit properly without it slipping. Tried so many saddles but would love to know if there is something out there that I have not yet discovered.

Have you just been trying saddles yourself or working with a fitter experience in fitting cobs? I fit cobs and natives and find that we take a different approach to many other saddle fitters and definitely have a different selection of tree shapes and panel shapes than most regular ranges of saddles.

OP,
I would speak to this HHF member, although I am currently using a treeless until my very young cob settles, then in will be looking for a treed saddle from this company, if appropriate. She is very helpful.

OP I have ridden an extremely wide cob who was in a GFS fitted by a professional saddler and my own fairly wide cob is in an Ideal. I think both saddles are a very good fit. I'm not sure you can say a certain 'make' will fit all wide horses though as saddle also has to fit you....I would def go with a professional saddle fitter who has multiple recommendations. Good luck!
