I am 6 foot 2 and like to ride reletively short when jumping and hunting , therefore I always seem to find that my knee sticks out the front of the saddle giving me no support. Some of my friends said a men's hunting saddle would fit me but I can't seem to find many of them around. If anyone knows of any saddles which may be forward cut enough to fit me , let me know !

Black Country saddles, they do a nice Wexford with a forward knee roll. They can make it with longer panels for taller riders.

When I was cruising eBay looking for a jumping saddle, I can across one and showed to a friend who said the forward cut was a bit extreme. It was a keiffer (I think!) and the knees rolls and forward cut were pretty decent! Maybe worth looking at them?

You need to work out where you are tall - if that makes sense!! Some tall people are long in the back, others have long thighs and or are long from knee to ankle. If you can work out these measurements or get someone to do them for you, then it would be worth contacting different saddle makers to see what's available/most suitable. Just asking for saddles for tall people will only give you 50% of the answer. Hope you find something suitable very soon.

Pricey, but take a look at WOW saddles. They have a Paul Tapner XC version which accommodates his long legs! All the bits are interchangeable too. I'm long in the thigh so have an 18 inch saddle with 17 inch panels for my short backed conne cross.

If you are long in the thigh then a Stubben MF Special in any jump design is very forward and fits like a glove , i am the same and the 17.5 or 18 depending upon the horse is best , I find a 17 inch a bit snug. I am 5ft 10 ins and would be 6ft 3 ins if my legs were not silly short below the knee! they are quite cheap secondhand and the newer models are wider in the gullet and come in wider widths than they used to.

Most bench made saddle companies can make flaps to suit you, a flatter seat gives more room and a higher placed block equally gives more room. The crucial thing is not overall height but femur length and funnily enough men have proportionately shorter femurs so a man's saddle isn't always the answer. I'd find a bench made company that can fit your horse's shape and have them make a flap up for you.
