Well I'm a bit confused. I'm looking for a first horse, and everythings rather new to me about buying all the essentials.
I always thought when buying a saddle they had to be specially fitted by a saddle fitter.
When i went to try out a horse at a lovely dealers, my dad asked the owner about buying tack and rugs. He told us "not to go down the saddle fitting path yet"
So i'm confused, anyone wish to explain?
Thank you in advance
ETA - The man said he had a saddle that would fit the horse (he was selling a spare bit of tack i think or on behalf of someone else). I obviously need to get a saddle thats comfortable for my horse, do all of you use saddle fitters?
Seeing tack being sold over the internet hints that you dont need to some of the time?
I think he may have meant a "made to measure saddle" but
