hi guys

i have 2 devoucoux saddles but one of them doesnt fit any of my horses anymore.

im going to have to sell it but could only afford to replace it with another 2nd hand devoucoux which dont come up too often!

i HATE whittaker saddles - find them really uncomfortable.

Just wondering how you guys find Pessoas etc.

Feedback needed!
Devestated i need to sell it to be honest.

There are some many different "era's" of Pessoa's! I ahev ridden in an original pessoa which I loved but fitted not alot of horses, and an original rodrigo pessoa which again was more comfy as not as hard, and fitted more horses, but are next to impossible to find second hand in good condition. The "fieldhouse" versions (new versions) fit horses better, but I dont like them as much to ride in. Just personal preference though I suppose!!

The second hand devoucoux do come up a lot, I would expect a lot of them to be on the market over the next few years!

If not, why not try a Bates?

I find all the different Pessoas really odd, I know that Pessoa has been changing them a lot, Ive lost track of which type/age of Pessoas are good now. Some of them can really damage the backs, but I think it is the old old model that is 'ok'.

ive just been on the devoucoux website and the cheapest 2nd hand one i could find was £1200!

ebay had one jumping one at £300 but condition wasnt great.

ive tried a bates but found i felt like i was "on top" of the saddle rather than the horse if you know what i mean!!!!

My friend has a prestige jump saddle, its lovely was a real bargin as well... but they make John Whittaker I think so if you don't like them you might not like prestige.

I have butets myself, very difficult to get second hand and do hold their price well.
