At the age of 30, one of the most influential sires of all times has died in his paddock.

RIP to one of the greats.

I was looking at him in the Horse and Hound very recently and thinking, yet again, 'Wow. What a horse. And what a legacy.'

I'm very sad, but 30 was an amazing age for an amazing horse.

That is such a shame. He is my all time favourite racehorse :( He had a long, happy, fulfilled life and he leaves behind a legavy that will be very hard to match let alone exceed.

RIP The Grand Daddy Of Them All.

A legend in our lifetime - 14 Champion Sire titles and progeny who have won every classic over the years.

He'll be sorely missed.

A beautiful horse. Peerless. And didn't he stamp his good offspring? Never mind their abundant class, they were battlers.

I doubt I'll see such an influential sire again in my lifetime. What a dynasty he's left.

RIP, you will be sorely missed. Thoughts to those that loved and cared for you.

I have a son and a grandson of his....both like peas in a pod despite by very different dams, and both are the spitting image of him....fantastic horse, a legend in his own lifetime.
