Just reading Daisy Dicks interview in H&H today and she mentions Sadler's Wells being a horse she'd love to own, or a horse by him to event, so just wondering if anyone has or knows of any of his offspring that now event?
Bit random but just got me thinking.

There are quite a few by him pointing ie. that didn't make the grade 'proper' racing so I don't see why they shouldn't also filter through to eventing.
Having said that can't think of any!

I have a 5 year old mare that is a grand-daughter of Sadlers wells, she will go eventing at some point after she has had her foal, but I did dressage and a bit of jumping with her as a 4 year old, and she was fantastic. She has a really superb jump ( tucks up very well) and is every bit a super event prospect.

I also have another grandchild of Sadlers wells that is with me now to bring on and sell for eventing, he is an absolute dude and also looks every bit as though he will make a smart event prospect. I will be so sad to sell him in a few months!

Sallyf on here has a Sadlers Wells stallion, High Tension, and he has been used on Advanced event mares etc, his oldest stock are now 5 so they should be breaking out onto the event circuit soon..

They are generally really smart horses with a fantastic temperment, and move and jump well. I tried to buy a racehorse by In the Wings (Sadlers Wells) at Tattersalls once, he was a SERIOUSLY smart eventing type. Sadly I got outbid on him ! (not surprising I suppose!)

Have had a couple of his grand-children and neither has impressed me but I suppose grand-sire is too far away to be too judgemental!!

I am actually lucky enough to have a 6yr old by Sadler's wells thats why i asked as i was interested to see if any one else did and how they were competing. He has scope to burn but is not always the bravest but i'm hoping will learn as hes not done a great deal of XC.
He started off in very good racing yards then ended up in a rather low key one until he was sold out of racing and now i'm lucky enough to have him.
I also have a 5yr old by Dr massini (Sadler's Wells) and dams sire is Roselier, he is an extremly talented horse, hes just taking a while to persuade him that he does like dressage lol.

Oh, well good luck with the both of us and u can give us your opinion again at the end of the season!!!

I used to own 2 brothers who's grandsire was sadlers wells.

Both really nice horse but one was a cut above the other.

I sadly had to sell them as i gave up riding at the time i wouldnt be surprised if they were out on the circuit.

Im sure the dam of one was called skipping rhymes cant remember the sire of the top of my head.

Would like to know if anyone knows either of them. One of there stable names was Benson
