My u derstanding is fieldsafe headcollars are for turn out in the field only, for safe tying you need to use a breakable tie anchor.

I use the Schockemöhle Memphis halter for turnout. It has Velcro pieces for the head collar and is a pretty robust halter on its own. The more times that the Velcro gets pulled open, it does get a bit looser.

I have a leather rydale head collar. The clips have broken, the leather has torn. Probably not the best write up but it is good to know it gives way and it looks nice.

I would actually buy another

Quite a good subject though so not a bad thing I suppose.

Funnily enough I've been looking at them for Louis as he won't wear a face mask anymore.

I bought a rubber fly fringe for him and need one for that.

Mine has had one for about two years, had no issues with it.

I've used the rubber ring breakable field safe and velcro. Both have done what was needed in field. Often found them amongst the grass. . I would then catch, and swap for a proper head collar.
