Just a very quick update whilst I am home to get dogs out. Saffy has had the op, uterus removed successfully and she is beginning to come round. I have to phone later to see if she is able to come home tonight. Not out of the woods yet but positive so far. Thank you so much for all the vibes, and please if you are not breeding from your bitches get them spayed.

*phew*

I opened this with my heart in my mouth....

Wishing her a speedy recovery, and sending a nice, strong G&T for you and your nerves. xx

She's not home yet.:( Been to see her though, and although she's still a bit groggy we had a little wander round the paddock , me struggling to carry drip and not trip her up, and she had a wee. She's not eaten yet so staying in tonight to keep up the fluids and pain relief, hopefully home in the morning. She didn't bother in the slightest when I left, but I think they all love her there though so gets lots of fuss.

She sounds to be doing well B, but such a shame she couldnt come home tonight - fingers crossed she will be OK to come home tomorrow morning, I am sure she will be :)

I think the owners find leaving their dogs there more stressful than the dogs do!!!

She's in the best place tonight and if shes still a bit groggy then its probably best she stays in so someone is there all night etc.

Let us know when she's home! xxxxx

I remember when we went to pick up D post-op, she was lying behind the front desk and the receptionist was a bit emotional when we left, I was only a teenager at the time, still in my school uniform, and I had to kinda tug the lead out of her hand :o :o

I also remember my uncle drove us home and the big fat cowbag climbed from the back seat into the front, swathed in bandages, and sat on my knee the whole drive home. Dead legs all round...

Hopefully Saff will be home tomorrow and in a slightly more polite fashion :)

Pleased she is through the op safely but sad she isnt home yet.:( Poor girl I suspect she would rather be snuggled up at home. But she is still here which is the most important thing.:)

So relieved to read this B. You guys have been in my thoughts all day. I hope she is chirpy enough to be on her way home first thing in the morning. Big hugs. X
