Sage Words from the Instructor!

I was getting myself into a bit of a funk yesterday as horse coming on brilliantly but re-hab rider (i,e, me) is still struggling a bit.

I was doing a kind of "no I don't think I ought to have a lesson on him I will stick to the school horse" confidence total lack of thing my reason being I do not want to screw up all the great work we have done with him.

My lovely trainer looked and me and said ok write this down!

You will make mistakes

Your horse will make mistakes

As long as you overcome them together you will be fine.

No go and get your horse.

haha that is brilliant!!!!!!!!!!!! i do know what you mean - my confidence is shocking and my horse can be very spooky - when he does it during a lesson thats it - i just want to get off but my loveley instructor is brilliant at pushing me that little bit further each time - at the time i hate it but after im so proud of myself!
well done to you and your instructor - we will get there!!!!x
