Sale at the Grange tomorrow..

Is it the South & West Equine Auctions sale? If so I went to one of theirs near Bristol earlier on this year and it was pretty awful, very rough and ready and alot of sadly low quality horses and ponies for sale. Hope it's a higher level at The Grange.
 
yes it is, seems to be set out better, vets on site etc???

my yo is taking a horse.. bt it would fall into the not so great area of horses!

i was intrested to see what else was entered
 
I'd be interested to hear how it went. I went to an auction at Cholwell back in the summer (run by Kivells) and wasn't impressed by the quality of horses there either, plus the vendors were seriously delusioned in what they thought they'd get for their equines!
 
It may well have been, they are certainly active down here in Devon. In fact I saw a horse turn up at the one at Cholwell who'd been advertised in H&H the previous summer, I had gone down to see her (nice 5 year old Swedish WB, nicely bred but seriously green), I decided not to buy her as she was going to need too much time which I didnt' have.

Glad I didn't buy her as when I saw her at Cholwell this summer, she had got something seriously wrong with her pelvis and was very crooked on his offside hind. The bidding got up to 2.5k (which I was amazed at) and the vendor (well known horse dealer from Cornwall called Sue) wouldn't take it as she said she was worth more! On what planet I thought!
