Sales Agent?

I have just seen a post on FB from a rug company who i have a few rugs from, they put that they are looking for sales agents across the UK, i want to email them but don't want to sound like a complete idiot! What exactly is a sales agent???
 
Basically the company will give you an area of the country and you have to drive around and meet with the managers of the tack shops and show them your stock and persuade them to order it!

Low wage and high targets to hit.

If you don't hit your targets you don't keep your job! I've been in sales for years..(thankfully I'm selling something I believe in and do it well)

If you genuinly like the rugs you have, and trust the company, get an application in!

thanks, i have emailed - i think it is more low key thing - no targets or anything - i buy some samples and take them to friends, yards etc trying to sell - i get 15-20% comission on all sales - paid monthly - at the end of the season i can then sell my samples - i think thats basically it?

Does that seem alright?

I am not experienced at all but i have LOADS of horsey friends!!
 
A sales role with no targets..... GIVE ME THE BLOODY NUMBER!!!!

In all seriousness, I couldn't sell a horse rug if my life depended on it. If our groom says its good...then I buy it. I'd be the perfect client for you!

The role does sound credible, at 15/20% commission rate I very much doubt you will get a salary (so commission only pay monthly) what about your expenses? Petrol for example?
