If a horse had been five stage vetted for sale would it make you choose to view it more than one who hadnt, I am thinking about having my horse vetted to help with his sale, of course anyone viewing would be more than welcome to have him vetted aswell by a vet of their choice.

I personally think that is a good idea. My friend was recently looking to buy and over the course of 8mnths had 4 horses vetted, 3 of whom failed. It ended up costing her a fortune. If a prospective seller produced a certificate it would certainly be a selling point even though most would want their own done at the stage of purchase anyway.

I also felt a bit sorry for the people who thought they practically had their horse sold only to find it had failed the vetting and was worth so much less. If anything is picked up, at least it gives you the opportunity to treat it before advertising.

No I don't think it would Tbh, whilst looking for a horse quite recently you start to take every thing said to you with a pinch of salt and become quite distrustful.

I would certainly have my own 5* vetting done , and whilst I agree to some extent with Baileyhoss it could also give the seller an opportunity to mask certain problems whilst trying to sell.

It certainly wouldn't want to make me try a horse over a horse without a vetting already carried out, it could wot=rk the other way and get people questioning why it was done before the sale agreed

Hmm difficult pro's and con's.

Very difficult, I want him to go to the right home and would like him to sell as soon as possible as its breaking my heart, I can see both sides of the coin on this one i know im an honest person but most people arnt to know that i understand, maybe ill leave him just advertised for a while longer and see what happens i appriciate the replies, such a hard thing to be doing and want to make it as easy as possible
