i know oil is good for weight gain and coat condition, what does salt do? when small amount put in the feed?

also, has anybody used Carl Hesters Hoof Build Up?
if so, what did you think?
thankyou xx

No i am being sarcastic.. What gives him the right to say what is good and bad for horses feet? Its another rider indorsed product that the rider knows Sweet FA about...

Sorry very sceptical of the bloke full stop.

I fed salt in summer and provide a rock salt lick in the stable for the winter. Salt is for replacing salt lost during sweating.

Never used the hoof build up - I feed black sunflower seeds which for the three I have given it to have really worked on giving very hard strong feet and wonderful coats. Tia originally posted about this and I a lot of HHO people have also posted good results with them.

Mine are barefoot and poor old farrier really has to put his back into it to cut through the horn as it is now so strong.

I also feed instant linseed for coat and condition and this with the seeds gives plenty of oil in their diet which is only fibre products.
