There's no cow on the ice
Fingers crossed hoping for a good update tomorrow.
Look at that wee face! He's home!!!!!
Got a call this morning, pooing well, eating, bright & happy without pain relief, he can go home, so we went & fetched him.
Regular use of Psyllium. We're on sand and most give SandGuard with Psyllium in feed every month to 6 weeks. Mine struggles with colitis so he has ColonAid instead which I buy from the vet.Dumb question - how do you prevent it?
Only curious as I'm not on sand.
So happy to read he's doing so wellFully recovered, like a new pony.
Do the sand check if you're on sandy land. So happy to see his happy face again, and he's like someone's put a rocket up his bum, never been so forward! New Improved Dave!
If you don't me asking how tall is he?More new Dave.
If you don't me asking how tall is he?
He's looking wonderful
I love him, really pleased to see how he's getting on. Was thinking of him earlier! He's 13.1hh.
Mr FuzzyPants looks super!More new Dave.
So glad to hear he's better, he looks fab! Could I just ask - the mention of squirting Psyllium down his throat, how does that work? I thought it had to be sprinkled last minute on top of the dampened feed, so as dry as possible, as needed to be turning to gel in the stomach? Have I been faffing unnecessarily?
Thank you!The vets were syringing it, but you have to do it really quickly as it turns to gel pretty much immediately, and he was also getting it tubed, when he had his stomach tube in.
I now have a tub of pellets which seem to be much more acceptable.
