sand Kent?

Who do people recommended for silica sand in the Kent area? Was about to use Gallagher but some one said there's retains water any thoughts please. Need asap building arena now last 4 lorry loadsof stone come in today. So then we will need our sand. Very excited but also want to get it right with the sand. We plan to add carpet fiber if that makes a difference x

I don't know about the sand in your area but have carpet fibre and the supplier says you must use freedraining silica sand with it. I would ask the carpet supplier as they probably know all the sand suppliers anyway.

Contact Martin Collins the best sand comes from Reigate quarries. I found it to be cheaper than some local quarries which sell sand but not the right sort. If you use a company like MC and its not right you can then go back to them and they will have to put it right. The grains need to be square and not round like some sand. The square grains lock together so that the sand binds whereas the round grains do not. Hope that helps and good luck. MC were very good to deal with.
