sandschool frozen AGAIN

can anyone tell me if its possible to stop my sandschool freezing. my friend read that you can dress it with something to stop it freezing (she thought it was advertised in H & H ). thanks.

You can add fibres to stop it freezing, my surface is Fibre sand this is silica sand with 3 different types of fibre ready mixed into it and it absolutely never, ever freezes even when it is completely white over with frost the whole surface just bounces under the horses feet!! It is superb, I am aware you can buy huge sacks of the fibre but you will have to rake it in with a small chain harrow that wont wreck your drainage or membrane!
