sandy legs after riding in school?help!

hi, i keep my horse at uni now an and so am often riding him in the sand schools (only had paddocks to school in at home) hes clipped but his legs arent and after schooling they are covered with sand esp the fetlock area - i usually brush it off but sometimes the sand has sort of bunched the hair together and pulls it off it clumps if that makes sense and is really hard to get off. it hasnt damaged his skin but am worried it mite and not sure of the best wat to avoid this?

I used to work at a RS where the horses where ridden for hours every day in sand schools, all different types of horses from natives to ex racers and I never met one that had a problem from the sand

The arena at our livery yard is silica sand and if I don't thoroughly brush sand from his legs he also gets lumpy clumps of hair. If I forget or don't do it thoroughly he gets a rash. He gets sweat rash if I don't wash/sponge him with warm water and dry and also do this with his legs where the boots have been.

If you use one of those long flick dandy brushes the sand will be flicked off the skin and they're useful to brush the sand from the inside of the boots.

I've no problems to date.

I use a very stiff dandy brush to scrub the sand off and have never had a problem after been in the sand school.

I use an old cactus cloth - works a treat
