Santana HFD - Any views?

Minime, am I right in thinking that the filly in your pic is by Oliver at the same stud? She's gorgeous! You must be so excited for this year too. I look forward to pics...

Fingers crossed that my 2 foals arrive safely in April, but I have a SJ bred mare that moves well & I would like a dressage horse for myself by her.

I keep flitting between the HFD Stallions (as they are 'reasonably' local & I think I'd prefer fresh for my mare) or widening my search (& budget!) Royal Diamond & Balou de Rouet have been on the list (as have about 50 others!) I must get a plan & stick to it, although I know that everything depends on how things go with her 1st foal!
 
Have a look at my young boy (in my signature) he is available by fresh via Twemlows Stud, Whitchurch, Shrops..

I have been watching him with interest as he is similarly bred to my old dressage gelding. Who was extremely talented & too smart for his own good sometimes (Always managed to have me working harder than him!)

I was possibly considering using him chilled on my Florestan mare. Do you have any 'conformation' pics of him stood up, that you could post? And when are his 1st babies due?

We have a 2yr old colt by santana & he is lovely. He has a really good nature and is attractive in a subtle way. We also have a colt by Oliver HFD who is also really nice and very eye catching & another which we sold last year which again is really nice. I would recommend any of HFD stallions & they are very helpful & approachable people.
 
Now called Marcian Santana and is standing at Hartpury collegs stud, he is being ridden by matt frost as well i belive,

Really nice horse, tall and slim very elegant so does well on the chunkier types, usually have very good impressive trot and pretty with nice necks, oddly though the three i know by him out of three different mares all had sweet itch, not sure why but none of the mares other foals ever did

Ah! I didn't realise that was where he had gone after the sale. I knew it was a UK buyer, but that was all. Obviously I originally posted over a year ago, before I knew he was for sale. Thank you :)

Ahh did not know that, i had heard he was sold to france and then he appeared at the Hartpury stallion parade under Matt Frost which was good to see he is a lovely horse and i had a client who wanted to use him so im glad he is still in the uk
