Saracen horse feeds - reviews wanted

I am considering switching my horses current feed which is dengie and hickstead horse feeds to Saracen feeds. I have had a few friends use them and they really rate them, so what do you guys think and what do you use?

I know they are a little bit more pricey than the ones I am using but they seem really good quality and I want to give my horses the best possible care in every way, as well all do :) I don't mind paying extra if its better for the horses and has quality ingredients.

I am actually changing my EGUS sufferer to Saracen Re-leve and Equijewel as soon as they arrive. She will still have 24h access to a huge bucket of Dengie Alfa A Original mixed with alfalfa pellets and a haylage net.
 
Depends why you are changing feed! What are you not getting now that you want?

I had my mare on releve and equijewel for years after her tying up episodes, but actually for her swapping to allen and page Veteran Vitality and linseed has been much more benefical.
 
MrsMozart and Thermidor, its great to know your horses have gained weight since on Saracen. My horse, as I mentioned before, has ulcers and is a very hard keeper. I have tried everything else and this is literally my last resource... hope it works :)
 
My horse has always been fed Saracen, with Dengie Hi-Fi, and I don't think I'd feed anything else. He has livery pencils and bio-life 2000 and he looks brilliant; he is a 6 y/o WBxTB and not an especially good doer during the winter. I started with the bio-life during the summer when he was living out and gaining weight, so I only wanted to feed something that would ensure he had all his vitamins; he looked so good on it I have kept him on that during the winter, rather than feeding cool mix as I did last year.

Saracen is a little more expensive, but I'm sure you don't need to feed it in the same quantities than cheaper feeds, and the quality is excellent.
 
Delicia was on Saracens releve when her ulcers were bad. She hasn't had a bad attack for a while. I swapped her to pure horse feeds but he hasn't held her condition great lately. She's now on Saracens mare care and dengie Alfa molasses free.
 
Part of the reason for moving to the Re-leve was my DWB's stressiness - vet was worried she was an ulcer candidate.

I tend to only feed it in winter and start of Spring.

Another reason for trying it (for the DWB): is fed in comparatively small quantities - this horse used to get bored of feed very quickly, but she's fine on the Re-leve and Equi-jewel (thankfully! I was getting to the seriously stressed - ulcers?! - stage. Was feeding her four times a day before trying the Saracen's).
 
I have found it to be brilliant, currently feeding the super fibre pencils, and equijewel, alongside molasses free Alfa A. Will be feeding releve again soon though I suspect, as the endurance season sneaks upon us!
