Sarcoid opinions/help please!

Another under £1 treatment here!!!! My little mare had a sarcoid between hind legs early spring and it grew at a rate of knots! Vet wanted to wait til October to band (was going to charge in excess of £100!!) However it was getting bigger and bigger and something needed doing.

In America, it is common practice to treat sarcoids with toothpaste so thought I would give it a go. 99p and four weeks later the sarcoid has died, fallen off and left a tiny tiny hole. Bearing in mind the sarcoid was the size of a golf ball at its largest.

Now feeding with supplements to build up her immune system and should any others appear I will do the same- after all there is no "actual" cure for sarcoids yet and this method has worked and was much cheaper!!!! :)

Also to add, this was pain and stress FREE!!!!!

- believe me if it had been either I would know about it ;)

Hi. My mare has a sarcoid just at the end of her rib cage. As I didn't want to go down the vet route (she has had sarcoids between her front legs in the past), I thought I would investigate Sar X which was advertised in one of the freebie magazines. It costs around £100 for the main supply, which includes powder, cream and tincture. 6 weeks later the sarcoid is definitely smaller and I would anticipate that it will drop off in the next couple of weeks. Might be worth a try if the toothpaste doesn't work!

Hi im so sorry to hear about your problem, my horse had a small sarcroid and i put colidal silver on it every day for about 3 weeks it went bigger and crusty and dry and it fell off and has never come back!!! you can buy colidal silver on the internet but make sure that its the one in the blue bottle!!! its fab on many other things has well!! if you get a cahance read up on it hun worth a try before going to all the major expense and pain and worry

Hi - I'm also playing the waiting game for the Liverpool cream. Seems to be a recurring theme! Glad to hear there are a lot of positive outcomes to this, though. Must say that for a chemotherapy cream I was surprised at how relatively affordable it is - what annoyed me was the cost charged for delivery (especially as the vet says it just comes in the post, £49 seems a bit steep for Royal Mail!!)

I used sarc ex on my mares on her hind leg - 2 tubs and it went black and fell off never to return - it seems to work best on the fibroblastic kind rather than the occult or nodular types
