Hi,
My gelding has had Liverpool Cream treatment on Sarcoids on his; chest, sheath, upper hind leg, back of belly and between his front legs.
The treatment was successful on some of the sarcoids. The two flat ones on his chest completely disappeared after the first round of treatment at xmas of 2013. The others required up to four treatments, the last round was in October of last year (2014).
All seemed well after the last round of treatment, all of them went to the normal gooky, slightly smelly, mess and then healed up,dried out and peeled away. Untill this Saturday
I realised what had been a flat dry piece of skin between his legs had burst open and is all gooky and bloody. I've cleaned it all out and I've booked to have the vet out again.
Luckily for me, before my insurance claim ran out, I had purchased all the necessary strength Liverpool creams (there were three for his different areas) and my vet has stored them. So I won't have to spend another couple hundred quid on purchasing them! Obviously my Insurers have now made sarcoids exempt under my policy
**Short version of this wall of text**
I don't really want to keep using the Liverpool cream as it is an uncomfortable and painful experience for my horse, I always have to give him bute while he's having treatement. I came across Sarcoid Salve via Google and the reviews all seem really good. The manufacturers claim a 100% success rate, which I'm dubious about!
Anyone has any experience of using this product?
Or any herbal products I could feed him to help boost his immune system maybe?
Any responses greatly received
