Sarcoidosis (this is not sarcoid)

Has anyone had a horse with generalised sarcoidosis. It’s not the same as a sarcoid but can manifest itself as scaly crusty skin.
If so, can you tell me how it presented in your horse the months before diagnosis and what led to actual diagnosis?
