how much have you paid to treat one sarcoid?

has it worked? and, what are your experiences.

are there more treatments available other than liverpool cream?
thank you.

Try feeding NAF D-tox, a tablespoonful twice a day in a feed and after a couple of weeks it will start to decrease and after a month there will be a noticeable difference.

I claimed for it on the horses insurance, think it cost about £500 for a course of liverpool treatment. It very succesfully treated an occult sarcoid.
Please do not use Camrosa!

I have had three sarcoids banded, it was sucessful with one, which was the biggest and had a bit of a neck, the other two the vet shouldnt have attempted as they were too small, one is still there with the thread attached 10 months later, but hasnt got any bigger, not sure what happened to the other, the band came off and it caused a horrible mess (had to get antibiotics which cost an extra £60.00,) but as its high in the groin, I havent seen it recently so it may have gone. Horse also had sarcoid by his eye for which I had efudix cream, like liverpool but not as strong, or as expensive !! I treated the eye area twice, horse has a slightly bald patch but is slowly regrowing hair, there is some rough area still there, whether it is still sarcoid I dont know but much reduced from what it was and hasnt done anything this year, all this cost £200.00, including sedation for 17.1 heavyweight ID.

£4600 paid out on insurance for a large sarcoid above the eye treated with radiation therapy at Liverpool, also incurred travel costs of approx £350 (live over 300 miles awayfrom Leahurst!). *touch wood* it is defo doing the job so far but can take up to 14 months to resolve fully. :)

My horse had a small sarcoid removed from the outer edge of his eyelid as a 4 yr old (he's now 15) at an Equine Hospital, and it cost about £1800 then.

He had another small one removed a few years ago which my own vet removed for £400.00.

I've seen horses treated with the cream, but i've always opted for removal with my horse as generally cheaper and quicker.
